NSW Health second investment in SDIP Innovations through Medical Devices Fund- this time $4.065 M

The Hon. David Harris MP, Minister for Medical Research and Dr Jean-Frederic Leve and Anne O`Neill from the Office for Health and Medical Research presented the award in Nov 2023. This second successful Medical Devices Fund grant will enable technology and expand the manufacturing capability for the medical device start up, SDIP Innovations in NSW.

The NSW Medical Devices Fund is a competitive grant program NSW Health runs and was awarded to only two start-ups in 2023, of which SDIP Innovations was one. The NSW Health Medical Devices Fund aims to support visionaries in taking their innovations to market and increase the uptake of local medical devices by the health system, where they are cost-effective and contribute to improving patient outcomes.

All funding applications were evaluated by an expert panel, including the Medical Devices Fund Expert Panel Chair and NSW Chief Scientist and Engineer Professor Hugh Durrant-Whyte.
